Her love of design and the arts are her driving force in creating impeccable events. She is known for creating a comfortable and calm environment for her clients, ensuring the planning process is special and enjoyable. Jessica has been featured in many forms of media such as, Grace Ormande, Exquisite Magazine, San Diego Magazine, Ceremony Magazine, San Diego Style Weddings, KNSD 7/39 Morning Show and Fox 6 in the morning. Jessica has also been a guest on San Diego's Premier Morning Radio Show, Dave, Shelly and Chainsaw and was also featured as the Celebrity Wedding Planner on E! Network's Bridalplasty.
Tara Premo
Wedding and Event Producer
Tara is a native San Diegan with over ten years of experience in event coordination with Events by Design. Her previous work experience in hospitality and restaurant management provided her a strong foundation for her eventual career in event planning. When she started assisting Jessica in 2003, she quickly fell in love with the event planning process and the personal fulfillment that comes from working with brides and their families. Since then, Tara has expanded her scope to include directing events ranging from intimate celebrations to elaborate weddings and corporate events. Her favorite part of the planning process is assisting clients in creating unique themes with intricate details to personalize their celebration. Tara prides herself in understanding and taking responsibility for all aspects of the event to ensure that what the client has envisioned is realized. Her goal is to exceed expectations while executing a seamless event.
Marjeri Smith
Wedding Assistant
Marjeri has been with Events by Design since 2006. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara where she received a degree in Business Economics. Since interning with an event coordinator in Santa Barbara, Marjeri has been enamored with the special events industry and all it has to offer. She takes great pride in her ability to cater to every detail while utilizing her organizational skills to obtain the "WOW" factor for each event. With years of experience in the advertising industry, Marjeri is able to combine her strong business knowledge with an impeccable attention to detail and sense of style to ensure you experience the event you have always envisioned.
Ashlee Henning
Set up Management & Bride’s Attendant
Ashlee is our newest addition to the EBD team. She has a background in the hospitality industry, guest services, and marketing but has always had a passion for event planning and wedding design. She has an eye for detail and is particularly talented at creating custom pieces for our clients. Ashlee can help make any event even more memorable as she incorporates our client's vision into her designs by creating specialty items such as ring bearer pillows, flower girl tutus/accessories, wedding favours, chair embellishments, and more.
On event day, Ashlee can be depended on to help execute design set up to ensure every detail is perfect. She has also become EbD's primary wedding attendant as she focuses on assisting our couples and catering to their needs as they prepare to walk down the aisle. Her calming demeanor settles their nerves as she guides them through the day.
